A SINGING superstar aged 10 has been chosen as the winner of our Christmas competition.
The competition, as featured in our Post Christmas magazine, was run by Santa, who asked for help to see what homemade items you could come up with to show what Christmas means to you.
Oscar Cartwright wrote and performed a song and took top prize, winning £100-worth of Picturedrome vouchers.
He said: “My inspiration was all the fun stuff we do at Christmas. It is my favourite time of the year – although my birthday comes a close second! I started by writing down all the things about Christmas which I love and then made up the
rhymes and then a tune just popped in to my head.”
Oscar’s mother, Sharon, said: “Oscar loves singing. He has singing lessons and is currently working towards his first singing exam. When he is older. he wants to become a singer/songwriter.
“This Christmas was very special as it was the first time in four years his daddy had the day off (he is a nurse) so we spent the day together in our pyjamas and ate a very traditional Christmas dinner of sausages!”
Post Newspapers would like to thank everyone who entered all our competitions as featured in the newspaper and Post Christmas magazine and congratulations to our winners.
