THREE groups around Bognor Regis have benefited from thousands of pounds from the National Lottery.
The funding was announced on Tuesday in the latest awards from the Big Lottery Fund.
The largest provider of community funding in the UK, it has nearly £30,000 to organisations which are helping Bognor Regis area residents.
James Harcourt, the England grant making director at the Big Lottery Fund, said: “This quarter, we are throwing the spotlight on the amazing things communities are doing.”
The fund awarded £9,500 to Arun and Chichester Citizens Advice to provide a debt and benefits advice service at a domestic violence shelter.
A further £9,340 has gone to Making Theatre Gaining Skills Community Interest Company to help the launch of its community cafe, as reported, to bring people together and reduce isolation.
The Sussex Against Bullying youth project has received £9,790. The money will be used to start a youth club to help to support young people affected by bullying.
