Club members to take to the stage for a special concert

A MUSIC concert with a difference is in taking place in Bognor Regis.

Bognor Regis Music Club is inviting some of its members to take to the stage tomorrow.

The performances will comprise vocal and instrumental items by composers such as Mendelssohn, Debussy, Villa Lobos and Eric Coates.

Music club chairman Chris Coote said: “Our music club is unusual in that we hold members’ evenings during the year when club members can perform to a sympathic audience.

“I am pleased that Helen Woods, the club’s secretary, has put together such a varied programme for us.

“Some members will be performing at the club for the first time and we hope very much that they will enjoy the experience.”

Those taking part are singers Jenny Chislett, Rebecca Grove, John Luck, Michael Nott, Stephanie Peat, Angela Stephens and Joanna Wright.

Pianists Alison Blenkinsopp, Chris Coote, Pauline Hastings, Jack Izatt and Rex Latter will also appear. Peter Rogers will play guitar and Rosemary Osman will play both recorder and guitar.

The concert is at 7.30pm at the club’s concert room at 2 Sudley Road.
