Last cat viewing day of the year

A CHRISTMAS special day is being held at the Cat and Rabbit Rescue Centre in Sidlesham.

Anyone who is considering adopting a feline should head to the site between midday and 2pm on November 26.

They will be able to look around the scores of cats who are longing for a new home at the last day of its kind to be held at the centre this year.

A spokesman said: “We are your local charity helping unwanted and stray cats, kittens, rabbits and guinea pigs.

“We are currently have over 200 animals at the centre of every shape and size, young and old – all looking for their forever homes.

“Adoping an animal allows us to reach out to one of the hundreds waiting for our help.”

Cat viewing days at the centre at Holborow Lodge on Calder Lane are usually held on the fourth Saturday of every month.

Those for rabbits and guinea pigs take place from 2pm-3pm every Sunday.

More details are available from the centre’s website, or phone 01243 641409.

The centre was formed in 1986 and has rescued more than 10,000 animals in that time and grown from an outbuilding and six rabbit hutches
