Litter pick event

A WOODED area of Bognor Regis is being given a spring clean on Saturday.

Volunteers are sought to help to litter pick Bluebell Wood between Butlin’s and the A259/High Street roundabout.

The tidy up of the site which is skirted by a footpath and a cycleway will take place from 11am-1pm as part of The Great British Spring Clean.

This is part of the country’s biggest community clear up and the event  in the town is being staged by the Bognor Regis in Bloom Working Group.

Rebecca Vervecken, who helps to organise the working group for Bognor Regis Town Council, said: “The town’s In Bloom group is backing the national campaign to get half a million people out and about cleaning up communities in March 2017.

“For all the heroes who would like to take part, please email me. Litter picking packs will be provided.

“So, please just bring yourselves and willing friends.”

The meeting point for the litter pick will be at 11am at the Gloucester Road gardens by the roundabout outside Gloucester House south of Bluebell Wood. Rebecca can be contacted by email: rebeccavervecken@bognorregis.gov.uk or call 01243 867744.
