Rocks fans will know the feeling well.
As the clocks spring forward, the Bognor of recent memory have usually been in the hunt for some form of silverware.
In recent seasons, that has sometimes meant memorable days when trophies were lifted. But in others they resulted in disappointment as the Rocks fell short.
And while there are some familiar faces in the Bognor squad who have experience of what it is like to win and lose, manager Jamie Howell believes his side will be up to the challenge as the season draws to a close.
Howell said: “I don’t know if the experience of the past helps.
“Can I guarantee we will win it? No. All I can do is prepare the team as best as I can and hopefully the players will deliver.
“The fact we are different to Havant may help. Yes they have experience, which has its benefits. But we have a lot of young players who are hungry to succeed and play without fear so that could help us.”
One experienced head who will miss some of the run-in is Dan Beck, as the 33-year-old waits for a scan. But, apart from that, Howell has a full squad as the Rocks push on for promotion.
