Football managers up and down the country would give their right arm for someone like James Fraser.
Since returning to the club from Burgess Hill via Whitehawk, the midfield maestro has been integral to the Rocks’ performances.
But, perhaps more importantly, he has now become a 20-goal a season player – the type of player that every manager is always keen to snap up.
After Fraser fired Bognor to another three points last weekend at home to Canvey Island, manager Jamie Howell couldn’t speak highly enough of his number seven.
Howell said: “Fraser has just been an integral part of the team. He has this unique ability to pop up at crucial times to get us a goal when we need one.
“He wants to win and has a great mentality which is infectious.
“He has been a revelation for us and getting 23 goals from midfield, that would be a good return for a forward. The tally speaks volumes for the role he has played for us.”
Howell added: “There’s a right and a wrong way to leave the club. He didn’t give me any problems and, when he became available, we were delighted to welcome him back.”
