Weald and Downland Living Museum
Mark the anniversary of the infamous gunpowder plot with a day filled with crafts, activities and, of course, an impressive bonfire at the Weald and Downland Living Museum.
Expect to hear the tale of Guy Fawkes and see the bonfires lit in celebration of King James I’s survival as part of Gunpowder Treason Day celebrations which was originally an enforced annual public day of thanksgiving for the plot’s failure.
A range of crafts and activities, including how to make a mini Guy Fawkes will be available.
Visitors can also learn how to light a fire with flint and steel and draw firework pictures among other crafts before the bonfire is lit.
There will be traditional singing and dancing around the bonfire from 3pm until close.
This is perfect for families to enjoy together and is sure to make for a memorable day.
Dogs are also welcome to join in the fun.
Standard admission prices apply.
