Think pink to help fight breast cancer at West Park Cafe

PLENTY of cakes, drinks and all things pink will take over a Bognor Regis cafe next Friday in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness.

The West Park Cafe is hosting their own Big Pink day in order to raise as much money for the charity as possible.

Ann Hancock, who runs the cafe, explained why the event is so important. The Aldwick resident, pictured above, said: “It’s such a worthy cause. Breast cancer can affect a lot of people, men can get it as well as women.

“My mum had breast cancer so I’m linked to it on quite a personal level as well.”

For the event, which will take place between 9.30am-3pm on October 20, the cafe will be decorated with a pink colour scheme and customers are encouraged to wear pink items of clothing. Cakes donated by customers will be on sale alongside chances to win raffle prizes with all profits going to charity.

Ann hoped to see many regulars alongside new faces attending the day. “The West Park Cafe is all about community spirit and this day is about getting as many people involved as possible.

“The more the merrier. Dogs are welcome too,” she said.

If you would like to help Ann is welcoming all cake and raffle prize donations.
