HEALTHY living advisors have achieved the double for their work in around Arun and Chichester.
The two awards for the Arun Wellbeing and Arun and Chichester Wellbeing services were achieved towards the end of last year.
The Arun service won the customer care award at the 2017 Arun Business Partnership Awards for its programmes to help people lead a healthier lifestyle. These include weight management, pre-diabetes and falls prevention courses.
The family wellbeing service, led by the Arun and Chichester Wellbeing services received the community impact award at the Active Sussex Annual Sports Awards for last year.
This works with families to promote a healthy lifestyle and good nutrition.
The work is delivered by contractor START Wellbeing on the services’ behalf. Its founder, Caroline Daplyn, said: “The best part is seeing the difference in families who have completed the programme.
“They have increased confidence and it’s great to see how much happier and healthier they have become.”
Cllr Mike Clayden, who is in charge of Arun District Council’s community wellbeing services, said: “The services work hard to help people lead a healthier lifestyle with many success stories in the local area.”
