He HAS been one of the real positives of the Rocks season so far. And it seems as though the form of Tommy Block has not escaped sides further up the football ladder.
The teenage midfielder, who has been linked with Championship side Sheffield United, has spent the past week on trial at Sunderland.
Bognor boss Jack Pearce told the Post that a number of clubs were interested in Block.
He insisted, though, that the midfielder remained a Rocks player, adding no deal had been agreed and any terms would be discussed after his trial.
The Rocks have added to the squad with the addition of French midfielder Richard Gilot.
The 21-year-old made his debut against Leyton Orient but will miss the next game after being dismissed for two bookings.
Pearce said the search for a striker continues with ‘at least ten’ players looked at but none has signed on the dotted line.
Meanwhile, Joe Lea has had his Rocks contract cancelled so he can join Gosport Borough to play regular first team football.
A club spokesman said: “Despite not getting much playing time, Joe was unfailing in his commitment to the club and his cheerful and friendly personality will be missed.”
