SEE IN 2018 with this celebration of uplifting music from all the great Viennese composers: Mozart, Lanner and, of course the Strauss, Family.
The Worthing Symphony Orchestra are renowned for their professionalism and passion for music, something that this excellent programme will highlight.
In the first half expect to hear Joseph Lanner’s Neujahrs-Galopp (New Year’s Galop) through Johann Strauss II’s Wine, Women and Song Waltz to Mozart’s sparkling Piano Concerto No. 22 in E flat major
The second half will start with Offenbach’s Overture to Orpheus in the Underworld with its famous Can-Can, and the hugely popular Ciribiribin Waltz by Procida Bucalossi. Then it’s a feast of Strauss family favourites with the Thunder and Lightning Polka and the Vienna Woods and Blue Danube waltzes from Johann Strauss the younger.
For a rousing climax they will perform Johann Strauss the elder’s celebratory Radetzky March.
Tickets cost £1 for under 16 year olds, £6 for 16-25 year olds and other admissions start at £19.
