Jubilee Hall, Chichester
Headlining this month’s Open Mic Poetry Night in Chichester is one of the movers and shakers behind the South Poetry magazine, Patrick Osada.
Event organiser, Barry Smith, is looking forward to meeting Osada for an evening of performing and sharing poetry.
He said: “We’re delighted to welcome one of the south of England’s most active and influential poets.
“His work has been included in many anthologies, on internet sites and broadcast on national and local radio in the UK and translated into several European languages for anthologies published abroad.”
Osada will be reading from his fifth collection, Changes, which was published last year.
After his reading local poets will get the chance to read their latest work.
Barry said: “We welcome poetry in any style and on any subject.
“Our audiences are always supportive and appreciative. Listeners are equally welcome too.”
This is the perfect evening for any lovers of poetry or any aspiring writers.
Doors open at 7.30pm. Entrance costs £4, and poets must sign up on the door to read.
