A NEW president has been chosen by the members of Chichester Probus Club.
David Childs Hopkins, pictured above right, now retired, studied civil/mechanical engineering and devoted his career to the petrochemical construction industry.
He worked world-wide for multi-national engineering companies in the Middle and Far East and his career culminated in corporate and senior management responsibilities.
Aside from Probus, his current interests are the University of the Third Age (U3A), chairing the trustees for Havant and East Hants Mind charity, supporting Rotary and Campaign for the Protection of Rural England groups and his church.
The club’s next meeting is at mid-day on August 9 at The Park Hotel Chichester in Madgwick Road. Anyone interested in joining can just turn up.
At each club lunch, members enjoy listening to an invited speaker. On August 9, Captain Jonathan Huxley will speak on the subject, Survive To Thrive.
