MORE kite flyers than ever are expected to turn the sky above the latest Bognor Regis Kite Festival multi-coloured.
The event is being staged for its fourth year and has a new home at King George V Playing Field in Summerley Lane in Felpham to enable extra kites to be flown.
Added attractions have also been included in this year’s programme to make the bank holiday weekend a special occasion for all ages.
Jan Malpas, one of the organisers, said: “Not only do we offer wonderful displays of huge kites throughout the day and evening, but plenty of other attractions for everyone, including food outlets, bar, stall, live music and children’s entertainers.”
The festival is being held from 10.30am-10pm tomorrow and Sunday and 10.30am to 5pm on bank holiday Monday.
Its special features include a children’s treasure hunt at 5.30pm tomorrow and an Abba tribute band at 7pm on Sunday.
Other children’s fun includes a kite workshop, sandpit and entertainers.
Live music will also be provided by a range of bands on all three days.
Monday will feature the Great Bognor Bake Off. This will start at 11am and the cooks will find out which of their culinary creations has won at 3pm.
