It’s a dog’s life as owners and their pets party

A CANINE Christmas party was enjoyed by the pets of members of Bognor Regis & District Training Club.

The ever popular event attracted a large number of club members and their dogs to Felpham Memorial Village Hall for a fun evening of ‘doggy’ games.

Club press officer Phil Lewis said: “The club also made a presentation of £1,700 to the Search Dogs Sussex charity. This was raised at the club’s annual companion dog show held in June.”

The cheque was presented by the show’s secretary, Alison Formaggia, to search dog handler Darren Yeates and Nicole Gaffney, who is the organisation’s secretary.

In the front is Millie, one of the search dogs used by the charity.

Cody, a French bulldog, dressed as Batman, won the fancy dress competition at the party.

The club is enjoying its Christmas break but resumes training on January 10 and 11 at the village hall.

New members are welcome and can try out their first session free of charge to see if they and their four-legged friends enjoy it.
