Community News & Views | Nominations for Arun Youth Community Awards

TIME is running out to nominate a young person in the Bognor Regis area for an award.

The annual presentation evening for the Arun Youth Community Awards will take place on March 13.

The scheme is run by Rotary clubs in the area to recognise the achievements of young people aged 11-19 in the community.

A spokesman for Bognor Regis Rotary Club said: “It could be a young person who has volunteered to help others or raise money for charity? “Or perhaps they have gone above and beyond expectations at school?”

The awards date back many years and they were taken over by the Rotary clubs in 2015 to be given a new lease of life. Last year’s ceremony is pictured above.

Dozens of young people have been put forward every year since then and attend the glittering presentation ceremony at the Windmill Entertainment Centre in Littlehampton in March.

Nomination forms have been printed and widely distributed. Copies can also be downloaded at:

“We hope you will agree just how important these awards have become recognising, as they do, the efforts and sacrifices made by young people in our area and help us to see even more young people at the evening than we had last year,” said the spokesman.
