SUCCESSFUL coffee roasters near Yapton have been backed by their MP.
Edgcumbes has doubled in turnover in the past three years to nearly £1m annually as its range of coffees freshly roasted in Ford Lane has proved increasingly popular.
The company employs 20 people and also has a successful coffee shop.
It was founded in 1981 and is run by Chris and Alice Edgcumbe-Rendle, pictured above, with Mr Gibb.
Mr Gibb, Conservative MP for Bognor Regis and Littlehampton, said: “Edgcumbes coffee roasters is a hugely successful family business Chris and Alice have developed into a welcoming and popular local destination.
“Although the coffee beans come from all over the world, the coffee is roasted locally in the Old Barn in Ford Lane. Visitors are welcome to see the process, as I did.”
