Assembly Rooms, North Street, Chichester, PO19 1LQ
Thursday, February 28, 7.30pm

THE SCHEDULED performers for the next concert in Chichester Chamber Concerts series, Berlin-based The Vision Quartet have had to cancel their visit because of injury but organisers have found very able replacements. The UK-based Heath Quartet, led by Oliver Heath, comprises violinist Sarah Wolstenholme, Gary Pomeroy on viola and cellist
Christopher Murray.

The charismatic and sought-after quartet won the 2016 Gramophone Chamber Award for their recording of the complete string quartets of Sir Michael Tippett, and in May, 2013, became the first ensemble in 15 years to win the Royal Philharmonic Society’s Young Artists Award.

Their programme will open with Haydn’s String Quartet in D major, Opus 20, No. 4, followed by Ligeti’s String Quartet No. 2 with the final work being the String Quartet Op. 127 by Beethoven.

Tickets are £17, with under-25s free, available from Chichester Festival Theatre.
