Friday, March 22, 1-4pm
TWO students from the University of Chichester, Megan Gray and Jessica Head, who have been working with artists at Aldingbourne Country Centre, have helped them mount an exhibition at the university’s Bishop Otter campus.
Called Pollen-Nation, it is part of the pair’s project with centre users, focusing on bees and where they find their pollen.
The studio at Aldingbourne allows artists with learning difficulties to express themselves and learn new skills in a creative and friendly environment. The exhibition will showcase their talents and enable them to share their artwork with families, friends and members of the public.
The centre’s artists will also be showcasing their entry for the Jim Green Challenge, which Megan and Jessica helped them to develop. This will be displayed alongside the exhibition including photo documentation of the making.
Students help Aldingbourne artists with showAll of the works will be on sale, all work sold at the exhibition will contribute to the expansion of the creative arts studio at Aldingbourne and to allow the artists to continue to develop.
