Families in Bognor Regis are being encouraged to look out for rabbits.
The town’s business improvement district (BID) members are holding a bunny hop rabbit hop to celebrate Easter.
Lasting from yesterday to tomorrow, the competition with Spirit FM urges customers in the town centre to look out for 20 rabbits hidden in the area’s shops for the chance to win a prize.
A range of street performances is also taking place around the town centre tomorrow.
Chic Eggs & Fairy will be performing at 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3pm. At midday, 2pm and 3.30pm it will be the turn of the Mad Hatter & Jovial Rabbit.
The Mobility & Comfort shop will be back with its mobility scooter parade which was such a hit at Christmas.
This time, from 1pm-2pm, the parade will be filled with Easter bunnies.
Taking place as well is the annual funfair on the prom. This began yesterday and continues until Monday.
Along with these attractions, the summer lighting along the seafront will be switched on at 9pm tomorrow followed by a firework display on the pier. Both are being held by the Bognor Regis Seafront Lights volunteers.
Paul Wells, the Bognor Regis BID chairman, said the Easter weekend was another chance – after a bumper Christmas – for Bognor Regis town centre to shine and start to deliver its potential which led to the BID’s formation.
“The BID can keep momentum going working together in partnership with local businesses and other stakeholders to deliver the plan,” he said.
