Keen photographer Zelinda de Cruz’s portrait of a monk has been judged as one of the best shots in Sussex.
Middleton Camera Club member Zelinda was given a merit award in the latest Sussex Photographic Federation print competition for her photograph.
It is set to be among the work by the club’s members for its entry into the competition which will be on show on the bandstand on Bognor Regis seafront from 10.30am and 3pm on Easter Sunday, weather permitting.
A camera club spokesman said: “Middleton Camera Club is ‘just a small village in Sussex’ but yet managed to climb up to fourth place out of 15 entered clubs in this print competition.
“This success builds on last season when the club was awarded the most improved club in the federation’s projected digital image competition.
“For the latest competition, the club had to enter 12 prints, but they had to have been taken by a minimum of 10 different photographers.
“For a club of Middleton’s size, this is a fantastic result.
“The club’s committee is extremely proud of the club and of its members who work so hard to provide work that is now becoming recognised throughout the county.”
The achievements in the federation’s events follows the Middleton club’s success in the latest MSW Cup inter-club competition.
