Festival to help pupils decide their future after education

Young people who are looking for education, jobs or training should head to a leisure venue in Bognor Regis.

The charity, asphaleia, is hosting a destinations festival next week at The Base Skatepark. The event is taking place from 4pm-6pm on Thursday and is aimed at 16 to 24-year-olds.

A spokeswoman for asphaelia said: “Do you know any NEET (not in education, employment or training)young people?

“Do you know young people who are about to leave year 11 or sixth form who aren’t sure what to do next? Come along to our Destinations Festival.

“There will be workshops, refreshments and local organisations to talk to and a chance to win prizes.”

Spaces are still available for schools, colleges and organisations to take young people along.

Businesses and other organisations also have the chance to have stands on the day.

Anyone interested should contact: graciethorne@asphaleia.co.uk or tel: 01903 522966.

The skatepark is located in Oldlands Way on the Southern Cross Industrial Estate off Shripney Road.
