A celebration of kites is being held for its fifth year. The Bognor Regis Kite Festival will again see the sky filled with the colourful creations of all sizes this August.
The festival is returning to King George V Playing Field in Felpham for the second year after the success of last year’s initial staging there, above, in spite of some bad weather.
Organisers say the free event will have something for all the family to enjoy.
Joint founder Jan Malpas said: “Not only do we offer wonderful displays of huge kites throughout the day and evening, but plenty of other attractions for everyone.
“They include food outlets, a bar, stalls, live music, children’s entertainers and giant inflatables and children’s rides.”
The special features will take place throughout the three-day event over the bank holiday weekend.
Among these will be exciting interactive kite flying features, displays and special attractions for children and kite-making workshops.
An Abba tribute band will perform from 7pm on the opening night.
The opening times at the Summerley Lane site will be 10.30am-10pm on August 24, 10.30am-7pm on August 25 and 10.30am-5pm on August 26.
Some public car parking will available at the playing field.
