Colleagues at a funeral homes around Bognor Regis are dusting off their rags for a charity car wash tomorrow.
Employees at The Co-operative Funeralcare will be at its premises in Nyetimber Lane in Rose Green and buffing up cars and vans of all shapes and sizes from 10am to 1pm.
They will be raising money for the Bognor Regis Lions Club – Wencelas Appeal. This is aimed at helping people get out of fuel poverty during the winter.
It is the second year in which the appeal will have benefited from the car wash. Last year’s event raised £180.
Amy White, the funeral co-ordinator at The Co-operative Funeralcare in Bognor Regis, said: “We are really lucky to have such a large forecourt at sister branch in Rose Green which means we can line up lots of vehicles for a spit and polish.
“Everyone worked really hard last year so we know it is not going to be an easy ride but the cause is worth the effort.
“We look forward to seeing lots of friendly faces again on the day.”
Drivers of small cars will be asked for a £5 donation and those of large cars and vans for a £10 donation.
The three funeral homes taking part are based in Rose Green, Felpham and North Bersted. They are part of the regional, independent co-op, Southern Co-operative.
