Rain failed to stop young people successfully staging a run in Bognor Regis, pictured above.
The town’s Cubs, Beavers and Scouts again took over the weekly junior parkrun on Sunday.
The poor weather did not deter 91 runners from around Bognor Regis enjoying the free event.
Daniel Hughes, one of the junior parkrun organisers, said: “This is the second time this event has taken place and it is brilliant to see many new faces trying parkrun.
“It was fortunate that the rain did not stop play, and the runners persisted through traditional British summer weather.
“It taught our runners a valuable lesson in being prepared. Those with laminated barcodes survived the downpour far better.”
Two of the group’s regular runners were awarded half and full marathon wristbands for their combined runs.
The voluntary team has seen so many runners complete the course that together they have clocked up more than 10,000 km.
The junior parkruns take place on Sundays at 8.55am at the Arena Sports Centre off Westloats Lane.
