Funshine days kicked off with another fantastic array of children’s entertainment.
Families positioned themselves on chairs and cushions on Wednesday as they patiently awaited Punch and Judy’s return.
Glyn Edwards has been the Funshine Days Punch and Judy man for the last four years.
He thoroughly enjoys the annual events, often performing to crowds of 60 people at a time.
“They’re the quintessential family seaside trip entertainment,” he said. “The atmosphere is always lovely.
“This year, as always, the audience has been really nice.
Holiday makers and people who live here get to see the classics that are often associated with the seaside.
“That’s great, it’s retro yet timeless.”
One holiday maker at yesterday’s performance was Ruby Shepherd, accompanied by her two children. She said:
“This is our first time coming today. We’re on holiday at our caravan down the road and thought we’d come out and enjoy the sun.
“It’s been great, the kids have loved it,.They’ve been giggling away.
“It’s classic seaside fun, perfect for the summer holiday.
“We will definitely be coming back.”
The free Funshine Days, organised by Bognor Regis Town Council, are running every weekday from 11am-3pm.
They take place on the Bognor Regis bandstand until August 30.
