Jade Coles achieved some of the best GCSE results at The Regis School in Bognor Regis.
Jade, 16, gained a grade 9 in maths, two distinctions* and five grade 8s among her results. She said:
“I don’t think it gets much better than this. I was not expecting to do this well.
“It was due to hard work and the support I had from the teachers. They held after-school classes for us and that shows it is not just a day job for them.”
Jade, pictured above with principal Mike Garlick, will go on to study A-levels in sociology, biology and criminology at Havant College next month and has ambitions to become a criminal psychologist.
“The job is about interviewing sick people to find out why they committed the crimes they have.
“I want to know what drives someone to become a serial killer,” she said.
“It’s really interesting to me and I think it’s interesting to a lot of other people as well.”
