THREE well-known TV actors will be riding their motorbikes into Bognor Regis to raise funds for charity.
Emmerdales star Ian Kelsey, EastEnders star Nigel Harman and Nicky Evans, of Shameless, will be among the 200-plus bikers on the sponsored journey. They will be taking part in this year’s West Sussex Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride for the Movember foundation.
The ride will take place on September 29. It will stop at the Butlin’s car park in Gloucester Road from about 11.35am-mid-day. Spokesman Neil Westoby said: “The riders dress up in their finest tweed, dinner jackets and uniforms and create a wonderfully colourful and fun experience for spectators to enjoy.”
The ride will start at 9am at Shoreham Airport and call in at Littlehampton’s Wave cafe before Bognor Regis and finish at Northgate car park in Chichester after mid-day.
A band will be playing at the finish and members of the Movember charity will be there.
To date this year, participants have raised more than £11,000 from the ride.
They are hoping to beat the £30,000-plus last year when they were one of the world’s most successful rides. The rides are backing prostate cancer research and mental health initiatives.
