Three men have gone on trial accused of raping a teenage woman in Bognor Regis.
Romanian farm workers Madalin-Daniel Nitu, 23, Genghiz Iasear, 27, and Ionel-Mizel Ciocan, 25, all based at Groves Farm in Colworth, Chichester, are accused of raping the teenager in the early hours of March 9. They deny the charges.
Their trial is continuing at Portsmouth Crown Court. The court was told the woman, aged 19, went with a group of friends to Sheiks nightclub on Bognor Regis Pier after she had been drinking with them at her home.
It was stated she met Ciocan in the club and kissed and danced with him.
She was described in court as being unsteady on her feet when she left the club and became separated from her friends.
It was then she was allegedly raped in an alleyway by Ciocan and Iasear. The next thing was she was able to remember was being on the beach and someone lying on top of her, the court was told. The defendants were accused of committing a series of rapes there.
Iasear faces three counts of rape and Ciocan and Nitu face two counts of rape.
