Winter opening hours will come into force next week at the Bognor Regis household waste recycling site.
The facility on the Arun Business Park off Shripney Road will have its hours reduced from Tuesday.
Its new times will be from 9am to 4pm until March 31 next year, in contrast to its summer opening from 8.30am to 6pm.
The site will remain closed on Thursdays and Fridays after West Sussex County Council scrapped its seven day a week opening some three years ago to save money.
Cllr Deborah Urquhart, the council’s cabinet member for environment, said: “We reduce the opening hours at our household waste recycling sites every year during the winter months when the demand is lower.
“This means we can keep the sites open for longer hours over the summer months when demand is much higher.”
Householders who drive a commercial-type vehicle have also been reminded by the council to obtain a free permit before they visit any of its 11 sites.
The permits are designed to help to address congestion at the sites and to stop the illegal disposal of commercial waste.
For health and safety reasons, all trailers continue to be banned from the sites in Bognor Regis and Littlehampton.
The winter opening hours will also see some seasonal changes to the days sites are open.
Among those affected is Chichester, which will close on Tuesdays from next week until March 31, 2020.
