A busy weekend for Bognor Tone Zone Runners saw no less than 55 members take part in events across Europe.
Leading the continental charge were Mark Green and Jack Penfold, who flew out to Germany to take part in the Berlin Marathon.
After months of hard training, both runners ran personal bests.
Jack pushed from mile 22 and finished in a time of 3 hours 11 minutes 8 seconds, beating his previous best by 17 minutes.
Mark ran a well controlled race to record a 24 minute PB of 3:30:29.
Also running a marathon this weekend were Rebecca Nicholl, Sarah Stothard and Joan Woolley, who were all taking on the challenging Jurassic Coast Marathon.
Rebecca and Sarah ran a solid race together to cross the line in 6 hours 12 minutes. Joan, who incredibly was completing her 50th marathon, finished in a very creditable 7 hours 9 minutes.
A few club members ran the Barns Green Half Marathon this weekend, a tough undulating course.
Ben Leney was the first runner through for the club, finishing in 1:53:46, closely followed by Peter Ramsdale in 1:55:47.
Good friends Vicky Cooper and Zoe Hemes ran together and finished in 2:18:28.
Nik Crisp wasn’t far behind, finishing in a time of 2:33:35.
In Southampton, Gary Smith was running the Ageas Bowl 10k
Despite it not being as flat as he hoped, he finished the race in a respectable time of 45:03
Elsewhere, at the Windsor Half Marathon, Lesley Ward and Elle Matthews all ran strong races. Lesley finished in 2:12 with Elle just behind in 2:15.
Tone Zone are a friendly group of like-minded runners. With more than 200 members it offers people the opportunity to exercise in relaxed surrounding.
New members can come along to club nights on Tuesday and Thursday from 6.15pm at Arun Leisure Centre.
