Police have extended the bail of two people as investigations into a Bognor Regis man’s death continue.
The 40-year-old man and the 35-year- old woman were arrested on September 22 on suspicion of the murder of Daniel Weyman, 32, in Belmont Street, in the early hours of the same day.
After being interviewed, they were released on police bail until October 20. As detailed police enquiries are still ongoing, their bail has now been extended until December 18.
Daniel was found with serious injuries just before 1.50pm on Sunday.
He was taken by air ambulance to hospital in Southampton where he later died on Sunday afternoon.
Detective inspector Gordon Denslow, of the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team, said:
“This is a complex investigation and we’re working hard to establish the full circumstances.
“Our thoughts remain with the deceased and his family. They are being supported by specially trained officers.
