Parking discs

New discs for free parking in Bognor Regis go on sale next week.

The 2020 version of the discs, which provide up to two hours of free stays in three car parks, will be available from Monday.

They will last all next year for a cost of £2 to give drivers the chance to save hundreds of pounds. A total of 29 outlets around the town centre will be selling the discs. They include Post Newspapers at 63 London Road.

The discs are supplied by Bognor Regis Business Improvement District (BID) in a deal with Arun and Bognor Regis councils. A BID spokesman said the discs could be used at the Fitzleet multi-storey car park above Morrisons and the Hothamton car park in Queensway and the Lyon Street car park.

“To use the disc in any of the three named car parks, simply set your arrival time and clearly display the green two-hour free parking disc in your vehicle following the instructions shown on the reverse of the disc,” he said.

“For the second year running, each disc purchased includes a voucher book containing discounts and special offers from local businesses.”

All profits from the sale of the discs are invested back into the town centre. More than 25,000 discs have been sold this year.
