A flood alert for soggy Climping could be renewed this weekend.
The Environment Agency has warned large waves are due to return tomorrow evening.
“Large waves could again cause a small amount of water and spray to affect nearby fields. But, because tides will be lower, and will continue to fall until March 4, we do not currently believe the risk of flooding to properties will increase significantly,” it stated.
The agency re-imposed its flood alert for the village on Monday, from earlier this month when the sea overflowed into fields and roads, and removed it two days later because it believed current flood impacts would be minimal.
